Die Zeichnungen, mit Graphit auf Papier hergestellt, wurden in eine gesättigte Salzlösung gelegt. Im Laufe der Zeit wurden diese Blätter von kristallinen Strukturen überwuchert. Die kristallinen Formen, die einen Horizont bilden, evozieren damit Bezüge zu einem Landschaftsbild, das ein grundlegendes Mittel menschlicher Orientierung ist. Gleichzeitig entstehen topographische Gebirgszüge oder Seenlandschaften. Das zeitlich Prozesshafte und der Wandel durch einen äußeren Einfluß, werden zum Teil der Arbeit.
Meine Arbeit erschafft die Horizonte zurück, die mit jedem Gebäude und jeder wachsenden Stadt von Tag zu Tag verschwinden. Das Werk gibt dem Betrachter die natürlichen Übersichten und Perspektiven zurück um eins mit dem ursprünglichen zu sein.
The drawings, made with graphite on paper, were placed in a saturated salt solution. Over time, these sheets became overgrown with crystalline structures. The crystalline forms, which form a horizon, thus evoke references to a landscape image, which is a fundamental means of human orientation. At the same time, topographical mountain ranges or lakescapes emerge. The temporally processual and the change through an external influence, become part of the work.
My work recreates the horizons that disappear from day to day with every building and every growing city. The work gives the viewer the natural overviews and perspectives back to be one with the original.
