Dem eingefrorenen Moment von sterbenden Zellen (Apoptose) steht das Bild eines entstehenden Lebens gegenüber. Das Echolot scheint nach der Materie zu suchen, bleibt die relevante Information, so wie bei dem Prozess der Apoptose, im nicht Sichtbaren verborgen. Gleichzeitig treffen zwei bildgebende Techniken aufeinander die vertraut und doch fremd sind. Die Elekronenmikroskopische Darstellung steht einer historischen, abgelösten und nicht mehr lesbaren Ultraschalltechnik (Compound-Scan-System) gegenüber.

The frozen moment of dying cells (Apoptosis) is contrasted with a picture of developing life. The sonar seems to search for matter, nevertheless the relevant information, as in the process of Apoptosis, remains invisible. Simultaneously two imaging techniques meet which are familiar but strange at the same time. The depiction through the electron microscope faces a historical, out-dated ultrasound technique (Compound-Scan-System) which can not be read any more.
